Web Site Creation
If you have aspirations of making money on line, then there are several routes to achieving this,
but first it depends on how much you want out of it
Are you looking for a full-time career or just a few dollars to go on holiday with. You can earn a few dollars
by using free resources available on the Internet, but if you want to earn real money, enough to give up your day
job, then you will need to make a more serious commitment.
If you want to make a proper wage on line, you will need to have a web site. This involves you learning HTML,
which is the language that most web sites are written in. OK, you might say, I will get one made for me, after all,
if I want a shop on the High Street, I can rent one or get a builder to construct one for me.
Yes, you can go down that road, but, once you have laid out hundreds or thousands for your web site, how quickly
do you think your programmer is going to respond, if you just want to update an image for $1 or even $5?
You have to be able to do this sort of routine maintenance yourself. The analogy with a bricks and mortar shop
only goes so far. A web site needs to be dynamic and you - the owner - have to be able to change aspects of it
quickly. Great, if you have a partner who can do that, but otherwise you will have to learn how to do it
yourself.
Luckily, there are programmes called HTML editors. HTML, hypertext mark-up language, is the language that most
web sites are written in, although there are others too.
You can get a free HTML editor by typing that phrase into Google. They are all right, I used them for years. I
created what I thought of as good-looking web sites ten years ago. The difference is that standards are much higher
these days and the sort of web sites I was creating then seem ridiculous these days.
If you want to present the right image, you will have to have a good-looking web site.
There are two ways of going about this: 1] you can learn HTML and type it into Wordpad or some other simple text
editor or you can get a point-and-click HTML editor, which takes all the slog out of
writing a website.
Hand on heart, I think that learning HTML is the best way to go. I bought a few books ten years ago and I
read them and I refer to them every week, but I do not want to be a programmer or a web site creator, I want to be
an Internet marketer.
I do not have the time to spend a week or so creating a handmade website, I want to be earning within a week,
which means advertising my new web site too.
So, I have chosen to use an HTML editor, but I believe that I use the best in the world for my purposes. It has
a very comprehensive library of routines and templates and good support and users' forum. I have produced over
seventy-five web sites with it since March 2009 and they are all making money
